ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

– Minimum age: 16 years old to attend the course, but completion requires being 17 years old.
– Valid PPL(A) or LAPL(A) license (or in the process of obtaining it)

THEORETICAL COURSE – 20 Hours | 10 Lessons

The theoretical lessons are held in the classroom and have a total duration of 20 hours, which include both practical exercises and final tests. The teaching cycle is divided into 10 lessons.

TEXTBOOKS

The textbooks for the English radiotelephony certification course are provided by the school.

EXAM

Upon reaching the appropriate skills and knowledge, the candidate can take the theoretical-practical exam conducted by an ENAC Commission, while the language proficiency test will take place at our location with an English teacher certified by AELP and approved by ENAC.

• GENERAL INFORMATION
  Fixed and mobile aeronautical services, radionavigation and broadcasting services
• FREQUENCIES
  Spectrum of frequencies and emergency frequencies
• COMMUNICATIONS
  Transmission technique, transmission of numbers and letters, standard words and phrases, intelligibility scale, Q code, time transmission, aircraft call signs (specifically ULM), use of transponder
• RADIOTELEPHONY
  Radio tests, message structure, initiation of communication, position reports, air transmission, standard reports, emergency and distress messages
• RADIO FAILURE
  Pilot actions and behaviors, entity actions
• PHRASEOLOGY
  TBT communications in all phases of flight, practical exercises
• AIRSPACE
  Competent entities and their respective call signs, flight rules according to the relevant airspace
• CARTOGRAPHY
  Knowledge of navigation charts, approach and airport charts from a radiotelephony perspective.
